Bible Study on Thursdays at Noon

  Martin Luther studying the Bible.

Martin Luther studying the Bible.

In Divine Service, setting 4 of our hymnal we sing the Alleluia and Verse before we come to the reading of the Gospel: “These things are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God.”

On Thursday’s at noon we read and study “these things that are written,” and we do it in many ways. We share what commentators say regarding these texts, how we understand and hear it, and, in light our our confessions, as we also read the Book of Concord, how we think the text should be preached on Sunday.

All are welcome to these readings on Thursday’s at noon.

Introduction to the Gospel of Mark

We will be studying the authorship of Mark, when he wrote his book, to whom he wrote his book, the sources he used, and Mark as a drama. You are most welcome to attend our study on January 11, 18, and 25th @ noon, 12pm, at First Lutheran Church.
